Apple Turnovers

Ingredients:

1 Sheet of flaky pastry
1 apple, cored and sliced
1/8 cup brown sugar
1 tbsp. butter, melted
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 egg, beaten for brushing

Preparation:

Preheat oven to 350°F. Cut the pastry in quarters and cut a “V” on two opposite corners of each square.

Mix the apples, brown sugar, butter and cinnamon.  Divide the apple mixture equally between the 4 squares, pull corners together and brush with egg.  Bake for 15 minutes.
