Cream Horns

Ingredients:

1 package (2 sheets) puff pastry, thawed
8oz tub of cool whip
4oz cream cheese, softened at room temperature
2 tbsp. lemon juice
Powdered sugar for dusting

Stainless Steel Cannoli Tubes

Preparation:

Preheat oven to 400°F. As if the pastry was a sheet of paper, place it on a cutting board in a landscape position and cut it into 11 strips, I use a pizza cutter for this.  Roll each strip around a cone form (you can find these at most kitchen gadget stores).  If you can’t find the cone shaped forms you can use cannoli tubes, they don’t turn out as nice but taste the same.  Bake at 400 degrees for about 20 minutes or until golden.  Let cool completely.

Beat the cheese until soft, add cool whip and continue mixing until well blended.  Add lemon juice.

Fill cooled cones with a pastry bag or a ziploc bag with a corner cut off (this works best for me because I can just throw out the bag with whatever leftover filling there is).  Dust with powdered sugar.  Enjoy.
